The zoology room:

The zoology room reflects the history of the Museum. It houses a rich collection of birds, most of which date from the 19th century. The opportunity to discover the bearded vulture, the largest vulture in Europe, the Andean condor, the largest vulture in the world, or even the largest sea bird: the albatross. Not to mention the largest land bird: the ostrich (good to know, it’s a chick!). All arranged in the windows offered by the Marquis Costa de Beauregard. Most of the specimens were naturalized by Jean-Baptiste Bailly, a founding member of the Société d’Histoire de Savoie.

You will be surprised at how many animals you can see up close. We let you come and discover them.
